Thread: Pangu Jailbreak Team: Version 0.4 of Untether Package for iOS 8 Coming Soon to Fix Safari

  1. #21
I hope this fixes the safari AND chrome crashing and reboot on iPad mini. Haven't seen an issue on my 5c yet.

Did the mini last night and wished I stayed on 7.1.2.

For me personally this is the most stable Jailbreak I have had. Also I restored to 8.1 then restored from my backup before I jailbroke(Rushed through excitement and did't read all the instructions!) but still not had one issue.Hats off to Pangu team,35 days after 8.1 released!Well maybe 42 days before bug free but still damn quick!

I agree 1000%. Compared to the absolute fiasco of the iOS 7 early day jailbreak released so early… This jailbreak is like nirvana. Very stable no problems of any kind. I haven't experienced any of the Safari problems that people are talking about. This jailbreak is just rock stable for me. Since the 0.3 untether update I haven't even had any more random resprings - even running high animation on my lock screen and my springboard at the same time. And I can keep my frickin' passcode lock on, finally!

Now we just need more and more tweaks updated for 8.1 and it should be a wonderful Christmas! ;-)

I upgraded to 8.1 and jb'd right away, so I don't know if it's an 8.1 problem or a pangu problem. I hope it's the latter, and that the untether update will fix it.

the evasion jailbreaks also were updated numerous times to fix issues.
So were the iphone dev team's. They'd go crazy the first week with patches too.
    Hmm...

Because you have not a clue as to what you are doing. No one releases a perfect piece of software. Why does apple continually release updates and not stay at 8.0? If you don't like the jailbreak and for the others who whine about the issues how about you fix them for us? The skill level it takes to do this is unbelievable and for those of you complaining you couldn't be more ungrateful. This is how the process works for those of you who don't work in this field and who work at Wal-Mart but think you are a developer. You release something, you find bugs, you get feedback and you issue updates to fix them. There is no way they can simulate all of the conditions this JB will be used in. Every setting, every app and every device. Runs great on my devices, but then again I'm not a idiot who has to wait for a one click, wonder button that does it all for you. Jesus Christ....

It's so weird to sit this jailbreak out and wait for the Mac version... In the past I've always jailbroken the day a new jailbreak came out since iOS 3.1.3. I bought a Mac Book Air early this year and even though I could learn how to run a virtual machine I'm just gonna wait for the Mac version... It's kinda nice though, to sit back and wait for things to become compatible and stable once again... My girlfriend is chomping at the bit though and asking everyday if the new jailbreak is Mac ready, so funny cause she used to make fun of me for the whole jailbreak thing and now she's been hella down since the iOS 5 jailbreak...
