Default 'SpeedChanger' Lets You Control the Playback Speed From Your Music App

If you've ever wanted the power to be able to change the playback speed of music playing in your Music application, then you're in luck.

A new free jailbreak tweak called SpeedChanger by iOS developer HBM is now available in Cydia that will add a new button to the Music application in iOS that lets you change the playback speed of music playing in the Music application.

SpeedChanger will let you change the playback speed between 0.5x, 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2.0x, so you can actually go either faster or slower whichever that you prefer.

When you change the playback speed of a song, changes don't take effect immediately. You have to tap on the pause button, and then play button for the changes to take effect for the song that you're playing. The setting that you choose will then carry on for all of your upcoming songs until you change it again.

Apart from the new speed button that you'll see in the Music application, there are no other options to configure. If you want to give SpeedChanger a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak works on iOS 7 through iOS 8.

    Name: SpeedChanger
    Price: FREE
    Version: 0.0.1-47
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-8.1
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 8.1
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: HBM
    Editor's Rating:  4/5

IPhone 6 plus on latest pangu 8.1. It's not working for me. No settings and no options for playback speed are visible in music.app
They can have my jailbreak when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

You don't have to indulge your paranoia. There are pills to help with that.
