Default Amazon Rewards Visa Card Compatibility Added to Apple Pay

Those of you who own an Amazon Rewards Visa Card, the awards card which offers 3% back on all purchases, can now add your card to Passbook for the recently launched Apple Pay service. Many Amazon customers were previously expressing their frustration at the lack of support for the card at the launch of Apple Pay given that the card is popular due to the vast variety of items available for purchase through Amazon.

Alongside the 3% cash back on purchases, the card also gives 2% back on purchases at gas stations, restaurants and drug stores. Customers can also earn 1% back on all other purchases and the points can be used toward purchases. The rewards earned from the card aren't half bad and for those of you who are Amazon enthusiasts, it is definitely a no brainer.

Although Apple added support for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, other major banks are yet to participate in Apple Pay. Among these include Discover which still cannot be added to the digital wallet service. Discover mentioned that it is currently in talks with Apple regarding the new service but no timeframe for support was provided.

Didn't you hear? Apple cut them out of Apple Pay after they partnered with Samsung for a payment service at the launch of the Galaxy S5. It doesn't matter how much PayPal wants in, Apple is keeping them out.
