If you're a user of Facebook or Facebook Messenger for iOS, and you worry about the applications tracking down your information and using it for statistical purposes without your permission, then you're in for some good news if you have a jailbroken device.

iOS developer GreenyDev has just released a new free jailbreak tweak called NoTracking that will prevent Facebook and Facebook Messenger from tracking and using your personal information for statistical purposes.

More application support may be added in the future, but at this point in time, the application only really focuses on the Facebook and Facebook Messenger applications for iOS. The developer explains that disabling tracking can help with performance, battery life, and privacy & security.

There are no options to configure when you install this tweak, so you can just install it and feel a little safer when you use Facebook's applications on your device from now on. If you want to try it, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
