Default 'DathUI' Lets You Customize Your iOS 7 UI With Blur and Color Effects

Want to spice up that iOS 7 user interface a little with some nice blur effects and colors? Check out a new jailbreak tweak called DathUI by iOS developer orangebananaspy.

DathUI is going to give you options to change the visual effects of the elements in iOS 7. With it, you can change aesthetic settings for the Lock Screen, application icon badges, the Status Bar, Control Center, Notification Center, navigation bars, tab bars, and much more.

Some additional examples of the tweak at work:

The tweak will add a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure the various options to your liking:

The preferences pane basically breaks the settings up into groups for:

    • The navigation bar
    • The tab bar
    • The Status Bar
    • Control Center
    • The tint color
    • The Lock Screen
    • The SpringBoard
    • App icon badges
    • Notification Center
    • The dock
    • And the volume HUD

Each group gives you options for adjusting color and some other advanced options, for example, the navigation bar group lets you select a color and choose an advanced option as shown below:

The tweak also includes some various options, including:

    • Hiding the Status Bar
    • Enabling an iOS 8-style Control Center
    • Enabling a modern-looking Lock Screen
    • Enabling tap to unlock on the Lock Screen
    • Enabling the classic Lock Screen header
    • Enabling a Home Screen icon tint
    • Enabling a SpotLight search color
    • Enabling a SpringBoard text color
    • Configuring the badge blurs
    • And enabling automatic updates

The automatic updates feature allows the developer to push updates and have your device download them automatically. Since this feature is experimental at this point in time, it's not recommended that you enable it, as it could very likely have bugs.

If you're looking for full customization over how your iOS 7 user interface will look, DathUI definitely has you covered. It can take a while to set up because of all of the various options to configure, but if you can get a look that you like in the end, it can all be worth it.

For a limited time, DathUI is available in Cydia's BigBoss repository at the sale price of only $2.50, so grab it while it's hot!
