Default Code Inside the Facebook Messenger App Reveals You Might Soon Be Able to Pay Friends

The standalone Facebook Messenger application for iOS, which all Facebook users were forced to migrate to if they wanted to message their friends on Facebook from a mobile device, may soon have a new trick up its sleeve.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the application contains code that will allow you to send money to your friends that you're chatting with. It appears that you'll be able to add your debit card number(s) to the application and then use them to send money to whomever you're chatting with.

iOS developer Andrew Aude is created with having found this discovery:

While some are skeptical of even using the Facebook Messenger application after having been forced into installing it, many will probably be even more skeptical of putting their debit card information into the application. On the other hand, it should be interesting to see how the feature competes with alternative money-sending applications like PayPal, Square, and others.

You can't delete your account! Only deactivate it and everything you have done on FB stays in there servers for the government to access at free will.
