Default 'LabelShift' Lets You Move Your Application Icon Labels Further Up Towards the Icons

If you've ever had the desire to move your application icon labels further up so that they would be closer to your application icons, then you'll enjoy a new open source and free jailbreak tweak called LabelShift by iOS developer Rave.

As shown above, you can use LabelShift to bump up the height of your application icon labels. The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure LabelShift's options:

From here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, as well as configure the pixels you want to shift the labels. You can set the pixels anywhere between 0 and 5, which 5 being the closest to the application icon. You will then need to use the supplied respring button to respring your device and save any changes that you make.

LabelShift is open source and that means that the source code is available for anyone to view, just in case you're interested in learning how things work on the inside. You can view the source code for LabelShift on GitHub at this link.

LabelShift is a free download in Cydia's BigBoss repository, so if you want to give it a try, you know where to go! Don't forget to also check out DotsGoDown by the same developer; it was released earlier this week.
