I just did the update from 8.0 to 8.0.2 via iTunes on my 5S. Apps seem to be slightly more responsive. I updated from 7.1.2 to 8.0 via OTA though. So I'm guessing it's could be 8.0.2 fixed a few bugs, and/or updating via iTunes maybe fixed a few things as well. Either way, ever so slightly better than 8.0. I'll know more in a few days of field testing obviously. We shall see.

What're the wifi issues everyone's talking about ? I'm not experiencing any issues. At least not that I've noticed.

On 8.0.2 now, everything seems fine.

Any idea how long the iOS 7.1.2 signing window will be open?
Would be really nice if Modmyi could put up a thread informing us about the signing window status.

Getting a 5S replaced and I am not able to pick it up until Sat evening.. worst case, Monday morning.
I have a feeling that it will be "upgraded" to iOS 8

I've been on iOS 8 since beta 1, and I think it's the best iOS yet. Maybe I'm just drinking too much of Apple's Koolaid, but I love it! No wifi issues you all speak of... In fact, other than a problem with iTunes Match once, no problems whatsoever.

I still get horrible battery drain overnight. Loose about 50% of my battery by the time I get up.

That's a pretty bad drain, but wouldn't it just be easier to plug it in?

Just to clarify, are you plugging it in? I actually noticed this on my iPhone 5, even plugged in, some mornings I would wake up with it at 60%.., I just thought it was a faulty charger. It hasn't happened with my new phone yet.

I seem to remember Scott Forstall got the sack over the maps incident but at least the rest of the phone worked. I wonder if Apple will sack Craig Federighi for this little lot? After all the phones not much good if it cannot be used at all.

If I remember right, Forestall wasn't fired because of the maps issue, it was that he wouldn't take responsibility on the maps thing even though everyone knew it was his fault. If that's the case, anyone who wants to keep their job ought to start apologizing their butts off.
