Default 'Messages Customizer Pro' is Your Complete Messages Application Theming Solution

Looking for a really nice way to spice up the appearance of your Messages application on your jailbroken iOS 7 device? Look no further than a new jailbreak tweak called Messages Customizer Pro by iOS developer Charlie Hewitt.

Messages Customizer Pro offers several theming and customization options for your Messages application. You can use any of the pre-set themes, or you can create your own from the tweak's preferences pane, which is added to the Settings application after installation:

The preferences pane is separated into different sections. The first lets you enable or disable the tweak on demand. Other sections allow you to pick a main theme, pick themes based on the conversation, pick themes based on the contact, create a new theme, edit an existing theme, and configure some other advanced options.

From the themes section, you can pick from the pre-set themes, as well as any themes that you've created:

    The default themes include:

    • Dark
    • Default
    • Fade
    • Flat
    • Outlines
    • Translucent
    • Translucent Dark

When you want to create a new theme, just tap on the New Theme button, and you'll get the interface below that lets you choose a name for your new theme:

Next, you'll be able to start editing some of your new theme's attributes:

    Here, you can:

    • Change the theme name
    • Configure SMS chat bubble colors
    • Configure iMessage chat bubble colors
    • Configure other person's chat bubble colors
    • Configure color of information text
    • Configure color of background
    • Configure more advanced chat settings

The colors you can pick from are almost limitless:

    And from the advanced settings:

    You can:

    • Configure the chat bubble width
    • Configure the chat bubble tails
    • Configure the chat bubble outlines
    • Configure the chat bubble edges
    • Configure hiding and showing of pictures
    • Configure picture diameter

Messages Customizer Pro has a lot of different features that many of you text messagers out there are going to enjoy. If you're interested in giving it a try, it's available right now in Cydia's ModMyi repository.

So what sets this apart from the standard free version?

Only thing I can tell is the flat bubble "edges". Or I guess a better excuse to support the Developer we been using for free.

Try reading the article... Try looking at the pictures... It's pretty self-explanatory.

I did read the whole article and nowhere does it explain the differences between the free and paid version. Why don't you try reading my question.

Nice first post. Welcome to the forum!
