Might try pausing and resuming. That's what I did a couple of times before getting a 1.5-2.0mbps speed

Cool I'll try that right now. Can't believe how slow it is even with FIOS

I'm just hoping it'll be ready when I wake up in the AM. It's saying 12 hours.

Definitely not...keeping my jailbreak until the good guys jailbreak ios8 hopefully
Love my 5s apart from the Color but was to impatient to wait

  6. #26
NO!!! because I want to keep my jailbreak, also early new public release iOS's have bugs that need ironing out; that kind of makes all the beta testing seem like it didn't achieve anything

I threw in the towel yesterday and I honestly am content with it. Many if the things that i relied on with the Jailbreak have been added within iOS 8, granted they have room for improvement. There are things that i wish i still had but I went into this with an open mind and trying to start fresh. So far, its been great and worth it.

Ios7 with JB all the way! Couldn't live without iFile, multi-icon mover and CCsystem status!

definitely will not lose the jailbreak on my 5S...

I will play around with iOS 8 on my 6 and 6 plus friday

Started installing it when Beta 3 came out—didn't (and still don't) miss the jailbreak at all. I actually kept my iPad Mini jailbroken this whole time but now that the final release is (finally) out, I'm actually upgrading right now.

The only things left (for me) for Apple to add is something similar to iFile and MultiIconMover, neither of which are (for me) worth staying on iOS 7.

I had to update in order to finish the whole carrier unlock on my iPhone 5. Didn't have much time these past few days to do it so I had no choice but to install the new iOS 8 for the carrier unlock. Doesn't really matter doh since am upgrading to the iphone 6 so it's gonna come with iOS 8 and way and I already have my iPhone 5 32GB unlocked sold for $350. So it's ok I guess. Will be waiting on the iOS 8 jailbreak doh.

I am staying jailbroken at 7.1.2 on my iphone. 5 & ipad 2. I may get 6+ later when displayed at AppStore . Will have to test it before buying one.

Decided to go with iOS8, as I only have the one device, ipad mini with retina display. Not too worried about jailbreak availability, as I will get back to it, once one does come out. Some of the features of iOS8 attracted me more.

No, but I got an iPhone6 coming in the mail, so there's not really a point in converting yet.

It will not brick your phone, but you will be forced to restore it through iTunes.

Not very good on mine. iOS8 still has many bugs, particularly regarding language settings and handling of large photos.

Will be doing same thing I do each year. Current phone (5S) stays jailbroken.. new phone coming Friday (6) will be on new firmware. Will swap SIM card between them to get different flavors each day til iOS 8 is JBen.

I installed iOS 8 there are many issues for the iPad, apps crashing upon opening, the biggest most frustrating issue for me is the on screen keyboard covers up the area your trying to type in. In the previous iOS version the screen scrolled up as you typed, this is a glitch that will be fixed soon I hope.

There were articles that said don't put iOS 8 on an iPhone 4S just yet.

Here's one: Don't Put iOS 8 On Your iPhone 4S
