Default Best Jailbreak Tweaks of the Week September 8th - September 14th

It has been a really busy week this week with all of the buzz about the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but the jailbreak community is still kicking along.

This recap will go over the best jailbreak tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most worthy of recognition out of what we have been able to show you this week. These are in no specific order, and they're all compatible with the Pangu version 1.2.1 jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x.

    1. Faces – FREE

First on our list this week is a new free jailbreak tweak called Faces. This tweak lets you choose a custom background for each of your number keys on the iOS 7 passcode lock screen. You can select individual images for each of the number keys from the tweak's preferences pane and easily set them then respring to save your changes. It's an awesome way to do a little bit of customization. You can read our full review of Faces at this link.

    2. QuickShare – FREE

Second, we figured QuickShare was a pretty cool tweak to add to your arsenal. It screams "iOS 7" with its lovely design. It's an Activator-based jailbreak tweak that lets you compose Tweets, Facebook Posts, or messages from anywhere. You can simply invoke your Activator actions, select your button, begin typing, and send your message off to its destination. It's as easy as pie. You can read our full review of QuickShare at this link.

    3. Parental Controls for iOS – 99

Next up is Parental Controls for iOS, an awesome tweak for being able to lock your kids out of their iOS 7 devices for a specific period of time so that they can focus on their studies instead of their games. With this tweak, you can select how many hours each weekday and each weekend day that they're allowed to use the device, and when the time is up, they will have to enter a password in order to continue using the device. Emergency calls are permitted even when Parental Controls are enabled, which is great for not hindering contact abilities in emergencies. You can read our full review of Parental Controls for iOS at this link.

    4. CSwitcher – FREE

Also worth taking a look at is CSwitcher. This tweak adds an application switcher to your iOS 7 Control Center at the bottom of the interface. You can easily open applications from the background, or close applications from running in the background. There are also a number of options you can configure for your liking. You can read our full review of CSwitcher at this link.

    5. VolumeStatus 2 – FREE

Last, but definitely not least on our list this week, is VolumeStatus 2. This is a simple jailbreak tweak that adds a volume icon to your Status Bar in iOS 7 in order to keep you alerted of what your media volume is set at. The icon will dynamically change to accurately show the current media volume level. Adjusting the ringer volume doesn't affect the icon. This tweak is great for being able to check your volume level before a video starts blaring in a quiet environment, or for the opposite, for being able to check your volume level before a song is too quiet to hear in a noisy environment. You can read our full review of VolumeStatus 2 at this link.
