In this post, we're going to take you through five great free games and applications for iOS from the App Store to help keep you the loop of some neat free games and applications and hey; feel free to download them and give them a try!

1. Star Wars Scene Maker

First on our list this week is Star Wars Scene Maker, an application that was released a couple of months ago, but just updated again today with some awesome new features. Star Wars Scene Maker allows you to tell your own story. You can create your own visual storyline using characters and themes and make just about anything happen. You can control what the characters say, and much more right from the application, then record your storyline, and save it for later to share with friends. Check it out!

2. Gemini Strike

Another one worth checking out is Gemini Strike, a game for iOS where you fly through space attempting to avoid crashing into enemies or getting killed. As you're flying, you need to shoot down your enemies and collect coins. There are also boss fights that you can attempt to win at. You will use your finger to guide your ship through the craziness. If you get hit by an enemy, you will die. Check it out!

3. Bicolor

Also worth checking out is a game called Bicolor, and it's normally a paid game, but because it went free this week as Apple's App of the Week, we're going to include it on this list anyway. In this game, you're trying to color some dual-tone color puzzles using numbers to help you decide where to paint your colors in order to make the page a uniform color. You may make some mistakes, so some undo and redo gestures are included. Check it out!

4. Peak - Brain Training

Peak - Brain Training is another awesome free application in the iOS App Store. This is an application aimed at helping you keep your brain in working order by actually making it think to carry out tasks. It's great for elderly people, and even for young people that want to keep their brain working hard. It's for training your brain's ability to solve problems and complete complex tasks. Your scores will be recorded and you'll be put in a ranking system to compete with others. Check it out!

5. Fit Brains Trainer

Last, but definitely not least, is another brain-teasing game called Fit Brains Trainer. This application will help you learn to focus, memorize, concentrate, react more quickly, and solve tasks all in your mind. Even if you think you're already good at these things, you can probably do with some improvement. There are plenty of little games in this application and you'll get a score at the end that will help you track your progress and even compete with others. Check it out!
