Default Choose the Right iPhone Model By Using the Printable iPhone Picker

Apple’s newly revealed iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices will begin its preorders starting September 12th. For those who aren’t sure which size to pick exactly may find this time to be stressful, as the Apple Store won’t be having physical models to test out until the 19th. Choosing the device blindly without being able to compare it to anything may be hard for many people. However, an AppleInsider reader, Jeremy Anticouni has made a printable iPhone pre-order picker to help many people.

Anticouni put together a PDF file that can be printed using standard 8.5”x11” paper at 100% scale. The pdf file has the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus all on one sheet and all you have to do is cut out all three to get a feel for the new devices compared to the old one. Put it in your pocket, hold it in your hands, or even put it in your handbag to see which device you may actually prefer before the preorder begins. The iPhone 5s has a 4-inch display, whereas the iPhone 6 has a 4.7-inch display and the Plus has a 5.5-inch display.

Which do you think you will be purchasing? Let us know in the comment section below.

    I prefer the 6. If I want a 5.5 I'll get a iPad mini.
    I have a Sam S4 and it's bigger then I like.

Too bad when I put my 5s on it, it wasn't accurate. So they should be slightly bigger than the printout

I made one earlier from a link that Simon posted. Laid it on top of some .25" cardboard to get a rough idea of true size! LOL!

Because that's what you do when you're a nerd...

I think if you're buying an iPad mini for 5.5", you'll find yourself quite distraught when you realize the iPad mini is 7.9" and doesn't make phone calls or have NFC.

When you print it, UNCHECK the box fit to page and it will print full size

    You are correct, sir.

One interesting point, my 5s in my otterbox defender case is almost the same size as the 6. I was worried the 6plus would be too big, but hmm.

  17. #13
It was slightly smaller than it should be, by maybe 1/16th of an inch? Either way, the iPhone 6 seems the perfect size

The Plus is a bit too big for my tastes (and my pockets), but I can totally understand people that really want it.

I'm going to keep my upgrade in my pocket and wait for the iOS 8 JB before I move from my 5. got the 4S on day one -- longest 2-3 months of my life.

Yeah, I can imagine holding an iPad Mini up to my face. I think his point was that if he wants to indulge in media (rather than waste battery running a radio or disrupting said media) he'd rather just buy a bigger device. The thing about a phone is that it needs to be portable. But doesn't matter - we're all free to make the choice that is right for us.

Did you make sure you set your printer to print to 100% scale?

Only the iPad mini is almost 2 1/2" bigger at 7.9". Try again.
