Default 'SetBack' Allows You to Save the Settings of Your Device in its Current State for Later

If you have a lot of favorite themes and jailbreak tweaks on your device, and you wish there was a way to quickly save all of your settings for each of your tweaks and themes so you could apply those exact same settings in the future whenever you felt like switching things up, then you might be interested in a new application called SetBack by iOS developer GroovyCarrot.

SetBack is ultimately like a Time Machine for your jailbroken iOS 7 device. Let's say, for example, you have three favorite themes installed Elite7, Zoobhoy, and Zoopreme, and you have some jailbreak tweaks installed on your device, but only use certain features of those tweaks depending on the theme that you have applied. In this case, SetBack would be useful for you.

With SetBack, you can save the current state of your theme and jailbreak tweak settings as a backup so that you can easily revert back to those settings with the tap of a button. Above, you can see the interface of SetBack, which has three different backups one for Elite7, one for Zoobhoy, and one for Zoopreme, and then the last one shows your current settings.

You can use the '+' button at the bottom of the application to create a new backup, or you can tap on any of the existing ones to revert back to those settings the application asks you if you're sure you want to revert back just to make sure you don't do it by accident. If you do, your device will load up the backup, then respring, and you're done.

If you tap and hold on any of your backups, you will get the option to Update, Rename, or Delete that backup.

This is a great application for many jailbreakers out there, so if you want to give it a try, it's available for just 99*in Cydia's ModMyi repository right now. iOS 7 is required to use SetBack, and those with many themes and/or jailbreak tweaks will benefit the most from its uses.

Sounds good, where does it save the backups?

Doesn't do a thing for me. I launch it. It opens. I hit the '+' sign and it launches the middle app in my dock.

Huh, that's weird. What device and firmware are you using?

Maybe this is obvious, but every time i have t re-jailbreak my phone (because of a firmware update or such), I have to re-install all of my jailbreak tweaks & settings. We all do. Will this app allow you to restore all of your tweaks on a newly jailbroken phone as such?
    Thanks.
    Adam.

Ok, got the icon now. I had to delete a plist and reboot.
It won't work now though, I can't press the + sign.

No. This just can save the state of your phone when setup with a certain theme. And can then restore back to it if you change themes for example. It will not reinstall any apps or tweaks itself. They have to be present on the device already. What you are describing is a full backup tweak like pkgbackup or openbackup.

This kind of bug has only come up with two tweaks. Try uninstalling VWallpaper and/or Activator and see if it starts working. If Activator was your culprit then just delete lib activator settings and lib activator plist from var/mobile/Library/Preferences.. reinstall Activator and you should be good. Of course you'll have to reprogram your favorite Activator gestures.. But SetBack and Activator should play nicely after that.

Let us know how it goes,
    Grant

Lean back in your most comfy seat, tap the icon, and let SetBack bring live the sweet ol' memories of your cherished setup which used to require launching a zillion tweaks to get back to.
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

Seriously - BEST tweak in a VERY long time for those of us that like to switch our setups several times a week.. even 'per day' for some of us. SetBack makes it SOO easy. Even BETTER than BackBoard used to be - because of SetBack's ability to 'update' a set already in your list of setups. Make a couple minor changes - and you just hit 'update'. Great! And the fact that no matter what folder or page of your Springboard you put SetBack in/on it will always show a screenie of your HomePage (Springboard, Page 1).

    FABULOUS Work, GroovyCarrot!!!!
