Default 'NoSpotKey7' Prevents the Keyboard From Opening Immediately After Launching SpotLight

If you use any jailbreak tweaks that populate SpotLight in iOS 7 with additional features, such as ListLauncher7, and you don't want the keyboard to automatically appear when you open SpotLight, then a new free jailbreak tweak called NoSpotKey7 by iOS developer Hayden Hunter might be just what you need.

The idea behind this tweak is that if you have ListLauncher7 installed, or another SpotLight tweak, the keyboard won't appear as soon as SpotLight is opened; instead, you will have to tap on the search bar to let the iOS device know you want to search, and then the keyboard will appear.

The reason this tweak is a good combination with ListLauncher7 is because since the keyboard doesn't appear immediately, you can use all of the display's canvas space to search for applications that you want to open via ListLauncher7 without having to dismiss the keyboard for more room. With that in mind, it adds a step of convenience if you're going to use the jailbreak tweak instead of searching SpotLight for something else.

If you're not using ListLauncher7, or another tweak that modifies the functionality of SpotLight, then this tweak doesn't really serve much of a purpose. It's merely to improve the functionality of existing SpotLight tweaks, so we would only recommend NoSpotKey7 if you have SpotLight-enhancing tweaks installed.

If you want to give NoSpotKey7 a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 7 is required for the installation and some kind of SpotLight-enhancing tweak is recommended, but not necessary.
