Default 'PlayTask' Lets You Pause and Play Music From the App Switcher By Swiping Down

To add a little extra functionality to that boring iOS 7 App Switcher, check out a new free jailbreak tweak called PlayTask by iOS developer TheJailPod.

PlayTask is a simple jailbreak tweak for those that like listening to music. If you're got an application running in the background that is playing music, this tweak lets you swipe down on the application card of that music-playing application from the iOS 7 App Switcher in order to play or pause the music.

The tweak works with Apple's stock Music application, as well as any other third-party music application.

You can configure the appearance of a play/pause HUD (heads-up display) from the tweak's preferences pane, as well as configure a number of other options:

Here, you'll be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand, enable or disable the HUD option, configure its opacity, size, and colors, and more.

It's worth noting that the tweak is not compatible with Auxo 2, which isn't necessary anyhow since Auxo 2 already includes music controls in the App Switcher interface. This tweak is intended for those with the bare-bones iOS 7 App Switcher that are looking for more functionality.

If you want to give PlayTask a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 7 is required for the installation.
