On Wednesday, the popular Vine video sharing application for iOS was updated with new features and improvements. The latest version of the application that is now available in the iOS App Store is version 2.5.0.

The first of the major features that users will find in this new update is the ability to upload existing videos from your Camera Roll to Vine rather than having to record a new video at the time of opening Vine in order to participate in the video-sharing network. A new button in the bottom right of the interface lets you access your Camera Roll so you can start uploading. Trimming, mixing, and matching tools are included.

Vine has also been given improvements to the Camera interface. Users will find that it's now possible to undo the last recording and that the grid view now has a level included in the interface. If users are using the front-facing camera, it's now possible to enable a focus lock. And lastly, a flashlight feature is now available for low-light video recording.

Other miscellaneous improvements to the Vine iOS application include duplicating or trimming a clip, the ability to configure what you want to be notified by, and improvments to video playback and quality.

If you're an existing user of Vine for iOS, then this update is available to you under the Updates tab in the App Store application for free. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Vine for iOS for free from this App Store link.
