Default How to Hide Your History and Keep Your Logins Active Simultaneously in Mobile Safari

When you use private browsing mode in Mobile Safari on any of your iOS 7 devices, not only are you hiding your history from anyone else that picks up your device, but you're also forcing any of your log-in sessions to end as soon as you close the Web site that you're logged into.

While this may be a preferred method of security for some people, there are also those of us that only want to hide our history, but continue to keep our log-in sessions active for our convenience for future browsing.

iOS developer Andy Wiik has come up with a handy solution that lets you have your cake and eat it too. A new free jailbreak tweak called WipeTracks makes it so that you can hide your Mobile Safari browsing history, but you can remain logged into your favorite Web sites without having to log back in in the next time that you visit it.

With WipeTracks installed, enabling private browsing mode is unnecessary since your history is not being kept, but you'll be able to visit Web sites you've logged into and you'll notice that you're still logged in as expected so that you can continue your session.

As a bonus, WipeTracks also blocks Smart Banners and allows you have an unlimited number of browsing tabs open at once.

WipeTracks adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, but there are no other options to configure.

If you would like to give WipeTracks a try for your Web browsing needs in iOS, then you'll find it for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now.
