Default Pangu iOS 7.1-7.1.2 Jailbreak Tool Updated to Version 1.2 With Several Improvements

On Saturday, the hackers behind the popular new Pangu jailbreak tool for iOS 7.1, 7.1.1, and 7.1.2 updated the tool to version 1.2.0 with a number of bug fixes and improvements.

Users will find that the new version of Pangu, which is available for both Mac OS X and Windows, fixes a boot loop problem with iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s users, fixes a problem in the sandbox log, includes Apple File Conduit "2" natively, patches task_for_pid, and adds a notification whenever the jailbreak fails to succeed.

The full change log, as well as official download links for the new Pangu jailbreak tool are available on the Pangu Web site at this link. You can also download Pangu 1.2.0 from the official download links, which we have included for your convenience below:

If you haven't jailbroken your iOS 7.1.x device yet, you can view our guide on how to jailbreak your iOS 7.1.x device with Pangu at this link. Unless you were experiencing issues already, there is really no reason to restore and re-jailbreak at this time.

I think I'm going to rejailbreak, just because if I don't, I feel like I'm not up to date

can i re-jailbreak without losing all my tweaks ?

  12. #9
no and I don't recommend using this tool over your current jailbreak.

Edit: are you having issue? if not then stay away from the new shiny jailbreak tool; that you don't need!!!

If you all are going to rejailbreak, then it's best you you start w/ a clean install. Do not restore your old stuff from a backup!!! This guarantees you'll having the most bug-free experience.

It seems tedious but constantly restoring and rejailbreaking take longer than just doing it right the first time!

What issues is this supposed to fix? I've been having absurd battery fluctuations and the lock screen won't respond for the first 7 seconds after respringing, but that could just be tweaks.

My 4s has suddenly started ask to sign into Appstore, this happens randomly many times a day. As nothing else seems to work, I'm wondering should I go through whole process again.

    OK, groan-time.
    I'm on 7.01 - which compared to 7.12 is a bit beta.
No way round that for me, I guess ?

When I try to click on it after downloading it comes up with a message saying "pangu is damaged and can't be opened." Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

edit: I went to the actual pangu site and downloaded it and it worked. Something must be wrong with the link you guys provided.
