Default 'Lockscreen Launcher' Adds Up to Nine App Shortcuts to Your iOS 7 Lock Screen

Many of us have our own favorite applications on our iOS 7 devices that we could benefit from being able to access from the Lock Screen without having to scavenge through our iOS 7 Home Screens. That's where a new jailbreak tweak dubbed Lockscreen Launcher by iOS developer Daniel Turner will come in handy.

Lockscreen Launcher lets you configure up to nine application shortcuts on your iOS 7 Lock Screen. You can configure their positioning, as well as what applications will appear on the Lock Screen. You can also hide and show the application shortcuts from the Lock Screen at any time with the little arrow button that you can see at the right side of the Lock Screen in the screenshot examples above tapping on it hides or shows the application shortcuts.

When you're ready to configure the tweak after installing it, you'll find a preferences pane in the Settings application where you can configure all of its options:

You'll find two things in the main preferences pane the first is a switch that will force all of your application shortcuts to appear on the Lock Screen each time you wake your device. You can disable this if you want to tap on the arrow to reveal the application shortcuts each time you wake your device just to prevent unwanted application launching.

The second is a cell that lets you pick and choose your application icons you want to put on the Lock Screen, and where they will appear. You can tap on any of the nine squares in the grid, and you'll be given a list of all the installed applications on your device. Your job is to pick the application icon(s) that you want to appear on your Lock Screen from here.

Once configured, you will be asked to respring to save your changes.

After you're done, you will be able to tap on any of your application shortcuts on the Lock Screen to immediately launch the application you tapped on. It's that easy! We must say, that the interface for this tweak is also one of the nicest that we've seen for a basic Lock Screen application shortcut tweak JellyLock7 is still our favorite, though.

If you would like to give Lockscreen Launcher a try for your Lock Screen application shortcut needs, then you can grab this tweak from Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for just 99. Lockscreen Launcher is compatible with both 64-bit and 32-bit iOS 7 devices.
