Default 'ChargingHelperPlus' Gives You a Ton of Battery Information and Charging Features

If you are a battery stickler, then you've probably already read our post on how to maximize battery life on your iOS 7 device, but with a new free jailbreak tweak called ChargingHelperPlus by iOS developer ming9010, you can give yourself more information about your battery, as well as more charging features.

The first thing about this new jailbreak tweak that you'll want to know about is that it adds new feature to your charging experience in iOS 7. You'll be able to receive alerts when your iOS device reaches a certain charge level, constantly show and estimated time remaining until full charge, and even configure your own charging mode either normal charge mode or full charge mode. You can configure alert style and Lock Screen font color as well. All of these settings are configured from the ChargingHelperPlus preferences pane in the Settings application, as shown below:

While that is a lot of the meat and potatoes of the tweak, there is a second part. The tweak also adds an application to your Home Screen that shows information about your device's battery performance:

Information in this application includes detailed current charge level, battery temperature, draining amount, battery health, cycle count, and other much more detailed information about your battery.

If you're looking for not only an application that van give you more information about your battery, but also an application that can give you additional features for charging your device, then ChargingHelperPlus is definitely a nice free jailbreak tweak to check out. It's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository and requires iOS 7 to be installed.

I like it. Now is there a way to make the information under the clock stay around while it's plugged in instead of switching to the date after about 3 seconds? I want it to still work when it's not plugged in, though. Thanks!

It seems to work great, but the notification system is slightly finicky.
