Default Version 2.2.0 of Beats Music iOS App Released for the iPhone and iPad

The iOS Beats Music app was updated today, just after the recent approval of Apple’s acquisition of Beats by the European Commission. There are quite a few important new updates in version 2.2.0 of the iPad and iPhone app. One notable new feature is called ‘Sentence History,’ which allows users to see previous created playlists that were created with The Sentence feature. The way this feature works is that a situational playlist is created based on the sentence users give with the emotion, genre, location, and more at the moment of using. Also, profiles that are ‘certified as legit by Beats’ will have a checkmark next to it.

Another notable feature users can enjoy is called ‘Tune Your Taste,’ which allows users to customize ‘Just for You’ recommendations. Artists and genres of music will be customizable by users from within settings. Other important updates from the release notes claim that playback is more reliable and smooth as well in version 2.2.0.

Users can download the 17.8MB newly updated app from the App Store for free. Version 2.2.0 of the release notes can be found below:

You asked for it, and we listened! In this latest release we’ve added:

    ● Tune Your Taste — Want to switch up your Just For You recommendations? Change your favorite genres and artists with the Tune Your Taste feature in Settings
    ● Sentence History — View your most recently played songs from The Sentence
    ● Verified Badges — That red check mark means the profile is certified as legit by Beats
    ● Player Improvements — We fixed a ton of bugs to make playback more smooth and reliable

    …and much, much more
