Default 'EqualizerEverywhere' Brings You Equalizer Options in All of Your iOS Apps

If you've been itching for a system-wide equalizer for iOS, then you need to check out a new jailbreak tweak called EqualizerEverywhere by iOS developer Reed Weichler.

This tweak adds an equalizer to iOS that you can use to control the sound bands of the sound your iOS device emits. It works in ALL of your applications, whether it's a third-party music application, your phone, YouTube, or anything else, and it integrates with Control Center.

You can manage the sound bands manually, or you can choose from a list of presets:

The presets you can choose from include:

    • Full bass
    • Reggae
    • Techno
    • Full bass/treble
    • Classical
    • Large hall
    • Pop
    • Party
    • Live
    • and many more!

There is also a "Save" option for saving any of the equalizer settings that you've chosen manually. You can edit the equalizer settings either from Control Center, as shown above, or from the tweak's preferences pane in the Settings application, as shown below:

From the preferences pane, you can also enable or disable the tweak on demand, as well as enable or disable the controls in Control Center.

To access the equalizer settings from Control Center, you need to swipe right/left on the music controls interface.

The developer behind EqualizerEverywhere notes that the tweak does not impact the device's resources, so battery life should really not be affected. It's also worth noting that because Apple's iOS device speakers are meant to operate a certain way, modifying the way they emit sound can have negative effects, so you use this tweak at your own risk.

EqualizerEverywhere is compatible with iOS 7. If you would like to give it a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for $3.

    Name: EqualizerEverywhere
    Price: $3.00
    Version: 1.0
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.1.2
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.2
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: Reed Weichler
    Editor's Rating:  5/5

    Looks good.

Spotted a typo 'There is also a "Save" option "to saving" any of the equalizer settings that you've chosen manually.'

Should that be for saving or to save.

A bit pricey in my opinion. I'd consider at around $1.99. But looks nice.

Looks and works well. Actually improved the sound quality greatly. I tested this next to one of the music apps in the app store and the sound quality of the presets was on par with it.
