Default 'SwitchClose' Forces the App Switcher to Close Automatically When You Close All Apps

When you're in the App Switcher in iOS 7 and you close out of all the application preview parts possible, there's nothing else you can do except for stare at a Home Screen preview card, because swiping on it does nothing at all and tapping on it just brings you back to the Home Screen.

Since this is the case, it makes much more sense for the App Switcher to just automatically close once all of the applications inside of it have been closed out of. A new free jailbreak tweak called SwitchClose by iOS developer Sirifl0w will do this for you.

With the tweak installed, if you close all of the applications that are in your App Switcher and you're left with nothing other than the Home Screen preview card, the App Switcher will automatically close for your convenience. The tweak doesn't come with any options to configure, but it does add a toggle switch to the Settings application:

The tweak really adds a nice finish to the iOS 7 App Switcher. We feel that Apple should have already implemented a feature like this out of the box, so it's great to see something like this come to fruition. If you would like to give SwitchClose a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for all iOS 7 devices.

That's a really interesting switch in the Settings app. Is this a new feature in PreferenceLoader? Will we be seeing more of these?

I've seen something like this before in something I've reviewed.

I believe that developers prefer to just stay away from this to prevent unwanted clutter in the main Settings interface.
