Default 'LSWeather' Shows the Weather Outside in Place of the Slide to Unlock Text

If you're the type of person that likes keeping tabs on the weather conditions outside, but feel that the information could be made more readily available to you than by way of an application, then check out a new jailbreak tweak called LSWeather by iOS developer whynot.

With LSWeather, which is shown in action above, you can replace the slide to unlock text on your Lock Screen with the weather conditions outside. It can show such information as the temperature outside, the high for the day, the low for the day, your current location, and even the weather conditions outside.

The tweak can be configured to your liking so that it looks and behaves the way that you want it to. For this purpose, a preferences pane is added to the Settings application where you can start fiddling around with the options:

From here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, configure an update interval for how often the tweak should check for weather updates, configure your own font, hide or show your City, hide or show the unlock chevron, hide or show the weather icon, show the slider with no delay, and configure the vertical positioning of the text on the Lock Screen. Changing any of these settings requires a respring, so a respring button is included at the top right of the preferences pane.

For as simple of a tweak that it is, it does a nice job of just adding some very clean weather information to your Lock Screen. It's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for $1.99 and works with all iOS 7 devices.

    Name: LSWeather
    Price: $1.99
    Version: 1.1-1
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.1.2
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.2
    Repo: BigBoss
    Developer: whynot
    Editor's Rating:  5/5

Quick question - does it handle Celsius units? There are a few tweaks which don't play nice with metric units.
