Default Set a Custom Alpha Level for Your Application Icon Badges With 'AlphaBadge'

If you've ever been in the market of setting a custom alpha level for your application icon notification badges, then a new free jailbreak tweak called AlphaBadge by iOS developer twodayslate now just what you've been looking for.

The tweak will add a new preferences pane to your Settings application where you can configure a custom alpha level by way of a slider. You can set it anywhere between 0 and 100 with .1 increments. The higher the number, the more opaque the badge appears to be, while the lower the number, the more transparent it appears to be:

You will need to respring your device to save your changes every time you make changes to the preferences pane, unfortunately, the tweak doesn't offer any easy way to respring, so you'll have to find another way to respring, such as an Activator action. It would have been nice to have a shortcut of some kind here.

AlphaBadge is fully compatible with ColorBadges, which we showed you back in February, and if you're interested in coding and seeing how things work, then you'll be happy to see that AlphaBadge is open source – you can view the source code on Github at this link.

To get started with AlphaBadges today, you can download the tweak for free right now from Cydia's BigBoss repository.

Can you do a review on SlideBack? I have no idea what it's supposed to do.
