Default iPhone-Connected Smart Ring Launched By Ringly

Ringly, a new startup company has found a way to solve an issue for many busy women missing texts, calls, and notifications because it is stuffed inside their purses somewhere. Ringly’s solution is a fashionable ring that is also a high-tech smart ring which notifies users of incoming calls, notifications, messages, and more. The Ringly app that goes along with the accessory will work on Android and iOS devices when launched and will be used through Bluetooth LE.

The app will allow users to customize the patterns and color of the light for each type of notification. The ring will also notify users of incoming calls and notification even if they forget to take their phone. Co-founder and CEO of Ringly, Christina Mercando, has stated

Our goal is to create products that are both stylish and useful, that women will be proud to wear. We believe that the future of wearables is in building discreet technology that integrates seamlessly into your life and makes your day-to-day easier. The more I use my Ringly, the more it’s like a personal assistant telling me what to do – plus there’s something so fun about having my jewelry talk to me!

Ringly is having it’s pre-sale campaign with the ring priced at $145 as an early bird pricing. Sizes available for the accessory are 6-8. When fully charged, the battery of the ring will last you three days. The ring is made up of semi-precious stones available in emerald, pink sapphire, black onyx, and rainbow moonstone and 18 karat gold.

My wife would love one...but there is no way on God's green earth that she is going to charge that thing every three days.

There is no way I would pay $150 or $300 at full price for a big chunky ring that lights and vibrates. I would rather get a watch for that and get more functions.

For the perfect accessory, someone make a flat stick that can attach to a bra strap. Make it vibrate repeatedly for a call coming in and have it vibrate once every 30 seconds for a text. And make it a reasonable cost. I would buy that.
