Default Easily Find Settings You're Looking for in the Settings App With 'SearchSettings'

If you have an extensive list of installed jailbreak tweaks, or you just find it difficult to find what you're looking for in the Settings application when you want to change some settings, then a new free jailbreak tweak called SearchSettings by iOS developer Ryan Petrich is for you.

As the name implies, and as shown above, SearchSettings will add a search bar to the Settings application so you can easily search for preference panes to access them easily.

If you're the kind of person that has a lot of jailbreak tweaks installed, then you're not unfamiliar with the fact that most of those tweak add a preferences pane to your Settings application. Once you accumulate enough of those, it can make it a real pain to find what you're looking for and change settings around to your liking.

With SearchSettings, all you need to do is type in the name of a preferences pane, and it will find the preferences pane for you. It's worth mentioning that only preferences panes that show up in the main Settings view will appear in the search results – not settings that are deep within the Settings application.

For example, if we type in "No" in the search bar, then the preference panes for Notification Center, Do Not Disturb, and the Notes application will all appear in the search results. When you tap on a result, it brings you to that preferences pane so you can start playing with the settings.

SearchSettings seems to be put together nicely and it's easy to use and well-thought-out. The tweak is made available for free in Ryan Petrich's beta repository. If you want to add SearchSettings to your jailbroken iOS device, add Ryan Petrich’s beta repository by following the steps below:
