Default How to Add a Thesaurus Widget to Your Installation of ProWidgets

Back in March, we showed you a really awesome extensible widget platform for iOS 7 called ProWidgets by iOS developer Alan Yip. It came with a number of built-in widgets that you could take advantage of, but it left many open ends for third-party developers to get involved and make their own widgets that users would be able to download in Cydia.

If you're using ProWidgets and have been following our posts on newly-released widgets in Cydia, then you may be happy to hear about a new one called Thesaurus ProWidget by iOS developer Tim Perin.

As shown above, the widget is basically a Thesaurus that you can access from anywhere. You can type in a word and tap on the Search button in order to view results. You can tap on the Back button to return to the search field, or you can tap on the Quit or Close buttons to close the Thesaurus widget.

As we showed you in the original review of ProWidgets, the tweak supports several different ways of opening different widgets. If you're an Activator fan, then you can assign an Activator action to Thesaurus ProWidget. Alternatively, you can use CCLoader to add a quick shortcut to Control Center, or you can configure some of the built-in ProWidgets shortcuts for Notification Center without installing more tweaks like we did below:

Thesaurus ProWidget only supports English words and requires that ProWidgets is installed on your iOS device. If you would like to give it a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The widget does require that you have ProWidgets installed, which is a $2.99 purchase from Cydia's BigBoss repository if you don't already own it.

    Name: Thesaurus ProWidget
