Default Sprint Now Offering Some Smartphone Customers Free Spotify Premium for up to 6 Months

If you're with Sprint, or have the intention to move to Sprint as your carrier of choice for your smartphone, then you might be happy to hear that the carrier is teaming up with music streaming service Spotify to offer up to six months of free Spotify Premium for Framily customers, or up to three months of free Spotify Premium for non-Framily customers.

Customers not on a Framily plan can enjoy Spotify free for three months.

For Framily members there’s one more bonus: after six months of free Spotify Premium, members pay a monthly promotional price of $7.99 (1-5 users) or $4.99 (6-10 users) for 18 months, depending on the number of Spotify Premium users in their Framily. After 24 months customers pay the standard Spotify price (currently $9.99 per month).

“With Spotify, people literally have all of the world’s music in their pockets,” said Daniel Ek, Spotify founder and CEO. “Spotify and Sprint share a passion for music and technology that makes this partnership a natural fit for both companies -- and the best music deal ever for Sprint customers.”
In addition to the free access for a limited time, Sprint customers will also be able to access Spotify Premium after the free period for a discounted price for a limited period of time. You can view the pricing details below:

The new Spotify Premium offerings will be available to Sprint customers starting on May 2nd – it doesn't matter if you're an existing Sprint or Spotify customer, or if you're a new customer that is thinking about switching to Sprint as your carrier of choice for your smartphone; you will be able to access Spotify Premium so long as you qualify for the carrier's terms and conditions.

It's also worth mentioning that Spotify recently began offering a 50%-off discount for students using the music streaming service, so they would would have to pay $4.99 per month, which is still cheaper than some of Sprint's offerings after the free 3-6 month trial period is over. If you're a student and also with Sprint, you may want to sign up for your free Spotify Premium with Sprint, and then sign up for the student discount rather than continue with Sprint's discounted prices.
