For those interested in adding a feature to the Clock application in iOS that will display the time remaining before alarms are set to go off, check out a new free jailbreak tweak called TimeForAlarm 2 by iOS developer isklikas.

With the tweak installed, you can have your alarms tell you how much longer it's going to be before your alarms are set to go off, as shown above. For example, with the time being 9:27 P.M., you can see how the tweak shows us that it'll be another 12 hours, 14 minutes, and 53 seconds before the alarm set to go off at 9:42 A.M. will sound.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure a few options:

Here, you will be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand, choose to have a label along with the timer, and enable or disable the seconds in the timer. Notably, you should close the Clock application and re-open it when you make changes to the settings so that they take effect.

It seems handy just to have the timer feature alone. If you would like to give TimeForAlarm 2 a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's ModMyi repository.
