On Tuesday, Apple issued an update to their iTunes Movie Trailers application, which allows users to search for local theaters, see movies playing in them, and view ratings. The update to the application brings it to version 1.4.

Apple has added a number of useful new features in this update, including the ability to add movies to your favorites and become notified when it becomes available in theaters near you or becomes available for purchase in Apple's iTunes Store. In addition, you can now read reviews from Rotten Tomatoes for movies that are available, and you can share links to movies with others using the iOS 7-exclusive AirDrop feature.

Apple has also squashed a number of potentially irritating bugs and improved the performance of the application on all devices.

Existing users of the iTunes Movie Trailers application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. If you've never used iTunes Movie Trailers before, or it's not installed on your iOS device(s) currently, you can grab it for free from this App Store link.
