Default 'AnyDrop' Lets You Share All Kinds of Files Over AirDrop

For those that want to take control of Apple's AirDrop feature that shipped with iOS 7, check out a new jailbreak tweak called AnyDrop by iOS developer Majd Alfhaily.

AnyDrop will allow you to share files over AirDrop from device to device, as long as both devices are running iOS 7 and have the tweak installed. It is compatible with iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads.

AnyDrop will put an application icon on your Home Screen that includes an integrated file browser, as well as shortcuts to your Music library, Videos library, Photos library, your iOS filesystem, and more:

In our example, we went into our filesystem to find a music file we downloaded, and we sent it to another one of our devices to demonstrate how the application can send a music file from one device to another, although the application works for any file thanks to the support for the iOS filesystem.

AnyDrop supports transfer speeds of up to 20MB/s, doesn't require you to set anything up, allows you to not only send files from the AnyDrop application (applications with Open In support are included too), and importing files that you send/receive with AnyDrop.

If you would like to give AnyDrop a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository for $1.99. You will need an iOS 7 device that supports AirDrop to use AnyDrop.

    Name: AnyDrop
    Price: $1.99
    Version: 1.0
Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.0.6, iPhone 5 and later, iPad (4th generation), iPad mini, or iPod touch (5th generation)
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.6
    Repo: BigBoss

That's pretty cool, but most people I know with iPhones don't have it jail broken

Still cool if you want to send files between your own devices.

doesn't seen very practical since it requires both devices to be jb and have this installed. back from iOS 6 there was sendany and receiveany. not sure if they're updated for 7 but those combined made for a great file sharing tweak. sent anything to anyone regardless of jb or not via iMessage. miss this one.
