Thread: 'Gregorian' Installs the iOS 7.1 Calendar Application On Your iOS 7.0-7.0.6 Device

Default 'Gregorian' Installs the iOS 7.1 Calendar Application On Your iOS 7.0-7.0.6 Device

One of the major improvements in iOS 7.1, which dropped to the public a couple of weeks ago, is the largely-improved Calendar application that includes the ability to see a list of events while in the Calendar's month view, and a number of country-specific holidays that have been added to the Calendar as well.

Unfortunately, iOS 7.1 patches the evasi0n7 jailbreak, and therefore, many people won't be updating; but that doesn't mean that those who don't update can't get the new iOS 7.1 Calendar application.

iOS hacker and developer Ryan Petrich has managed to port the iOS 7.1 Calendar application to jailbroken iOS devices running iOS 7.0-7.0.6. Now available on his beta repository in Cydia is a new package dubbed Gregorian, which will install a separate Calendar application on your Home Screen labeled "Gregorian."

This second Calendar application with the label of Gregorian is actually the Calendar application from iOS 7.1, and includes all of the new features that aren't available in the older version of the Calendar application. After installing Gregorian, you can then move the Gregorian application icon to wherever your Calendar application was and then hide the Calendar application icon with some other jailbreak tweak.

To install Gregorian, add Ryan Petrich’s beta repository by following the steps below:

    • tap on the Manage tab
    • tap on the Sources button
    • tap on the Edit button
    • tap on the Add button
    • enter the following URL and then tap Add Source:

    PHP Code:
    http://rpetri.ch/repo/
The installation process will require a reboot when it's finished. If you don't see the Gregorian application icon on your Home Screen after the installation, Petrich says that another reboot should fix the problem.

    Name: Gregorian
    Price: FREE
    Version: 0.2
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.0.6
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.6
    Repo: Ryan Petrich's Beta Repository
    Developer: Ryan Petrich

Reinstalled and it works, but no holidays

Use icon tool to rebuild all icons and it will show up cause I rebooted twice and couldn't get it to work

Worked on my 5s. It installs a second app and gives you the option at the top of the screen when your in months view.

I just renamed the app and it doesn't look any different as far as the icon.

Worked perfect for me on first install. On 5S. Those of you still having disappearing icon issues after installing new app - it's because of Gridlock 2. That tweak is still buggy as hell. Nothing to do with this tweak.

It doesn't get stuck just loading let it load have patients and it'll reboot the device after you press reboot. It works on my iPhone 5S Silver 16GB, i'll check to see if holidays work also. How do you get the holidays to show up anyways did it even show up in the last calendar ios 7.0 had?
I took a screenshot before and after and I didnt notice any changes whats different about gregorian and iOS 7.0+ calendars?

I have a subscribed calendar for US Holidays. I set that up using iCal on my Mac and it sync to my phone through iCloud.

Yes.. Holidays are never 'just included' on an iPhone.. You have to subscribe to a Holiday calendar. The are automatic holiday calendars on a Mac.. But not on an iPhone to my knowledge.
