    Default Apple Releases iOS 7.1

[WARNING: Jailbreakers are advised to stay away from today's iOS 7.1. Once you update, you can't downgrade again]

On Monday, Apple rolled out iOS 7.1, the biggest update unleashed since the arrival of iOS 7 itself.

The 214 MB download delivers a number of important tweaks to the user interface, big fixes, and a host of cool new features, most notably support for the freshly introduced CarPlay infotainment center.

So for those who wish to update, what can be expected of iOS 7.1 (build 11D167)?

    • iOS experience designed for the car
    • Simply connect your iPhone to a CarPlay enabled vehicle
    • Supports Phone, Music, Maps, Messages, and 3rd-party audio apps
    • Control with Siri and the car's touchscreen, knobs, and buttons

    • Manually control when Siri listens by holding down the home button while you speak and releasing it when you're done as an alternative to letting Siri automatically notice when you stop talking
    • New, more natural sounding male and female voices for Mandarin Chinese, UK English, Australian English, and Japanese

    iTunes Radio
    • Search field above Featured Stations to easily create stations based on your favorite artist or song
    • Buy albums with the tap of a button from Now Playing
    • Subscribe to iTunes Match on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to enjoy iTunes Radio ad-free

    • Option to display events in month view
    • Country specific holidays automatically added for many countries

    • Bold font option now includes the keyboard, calculator, and many icon glyphs
    • Reduce Motion option now includes Weather, Messages, and multitasking UI animations
    • New options to display button shapes, darken app colors, and reduce white point

    • New Camera setting to automatically enable HDR for iPhone 5s
    • iCloud Keychain support in additional countries
    • FaceTime call notifications are automatically cleared when you answer a call on another device
    • Fixes a bug that could occasionally cause a home screen crash
    • Improves Touch ID fingerprint recognition
    • Improved performance for iPhone 4
    • Fixes display of Mail unread badge for numbers greater than 10,000
    • Continued user interface refinements

Too late...why you were told to update last week.

But really no need if you get the SSL patch from Cydia. Which you def need to do.

Before you do that I would make sure Apple is still signing 7.0.6.

So basically a useless update for 99% of us. Let's see how many people "accidentally" update lol

I still have 7.0.6 showing for me. 3pm eastern time.
Does this mean I'll get an error if I try?

And 3:30 pm it has changed. Oops.

Sucks that the SpringBoard crash fix is only in this update.

Changes your folders to grey and you get back the old fashioned grey strip back on the bottom again , seems to have lost the colour change as it stays grey whatever the colour screen you have , i wish now i had not updated both my iphone and ipad , it looks cheap and tacky now

They finally fixed the 10k mail badge

    Totally worth the update---"sarcasm"

Am I right in assuming I can't save SHSH blobs for 7.0.6? Or rather- I can save them but a downgrade is impossible?

  25. #19
Grey problem fixed for some reason the update switched on the reduce transparency option in accessibility options , and turned on bold text , i upgraded through itunes

Ppl who are on 7.0.4 might as well stay on there and download the SSL patch on cydia theres no reason to try to download it and lose your JB. I upgraded last week and jailbroke again device running smooth still
