Default 'TouchBar' Gives You Easy Shortcuts and Toggles From the Status Bar Icons Themselves

A new jailbreak tweak called TouchBar by iOS developer cl3ment is now available in Cydia's ModMyi repository that gives you the power to tap on individual icons in the Status Bar as shortcuts and toggles to corresponding functions.

The way this tweak works is actually really cool. Once installed, tapping on the Status Bar's data indicator will toggle Wi-Fi on or off, tapping on the Status Bar's signal strength bars will toggle Airplane Mode on or off, tapping on the Status Bar clock will bring you to the Alarms tab in the Clock application, and tapping on the Status Bar's battery percentage indicator will give you more detailed battery information.

In addition to being able to tap on individual Status Bar items as shortcuts or to toggle features, the tweak also integrates with Activator. You can assign an Activator action of your choice to showing or hiding a toggle panel that gives you access to multiple iOS functions:

Users will find a preferences pane in the Settings application where they can configure an Activator action for the toggle panel and re-order the toggles on the toggle panel to their liking:

The toggle panel, and the ability to tap on Status Bar items as shortcuts or toggles are both completely separate features of the tweak, but both will come in handy in various ways. If you want to give the tweak a try, it's available in Cydia's ModMyi repository for 99. It does require iOS 7 to be installed.

    Name: TouchBar
    Price: 99
    Version: 1.0
    Requirements: iOS 7.0-7.0.6
Tested on: iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.6
    Repo: ModMyi
    Developer: cl3ment
    Editor's Rating: / 4.5/5

Seems cool but the fact that we have activator in the first place kinda makes this tweak a little redundant.

Well, the idea being that you can just reach out and touch something instead of having to assign a limited number of Activator actions to things.

It's just implemented in a much nicer and more user-friendly way.

Activator allows you to launch control center via status bar action. And with other tweaks like cccontrols. It's much nicer, I have it set to swipe left on status bar to activate control center. Works like a gem!
