Default 'iDeletePhotos' Gives You More Flexibility With iTunes-synced Photos

Frustratingly, when you sync photos to your iOS device(s) with iTunes, Apple doesn't give you any way to delete those photos off of your iPhone without painstakingly plugging your device into your computer and using iTunes again to remove them from your iOS device. Also, you don't have a way to move those synced photos to your Camera Roll for easier control and organization.

With a new free jailbreak tweak called iDeletePhotos by iOS developer iOSDevT, you can give yourself a little more power over the photos that you sync to your iOS device(s) with iTunes.

After you install the tweak, you will be able to delete photos from any of your iTunes-synced photo albums from the Photos application without having to tether your iOS device to a computer with iTunes installed on it. Instead, you can delete photos that you have synced just like if you were to delete a photo from the Camera Roll. In addition, the tweak gives you the power to move any of those synced photos to the Camera Roll.

For those plagued by this limitation that Apple put into their mobile operating system, iDeletePhotos offers a solid way to deal with the problem and make life easier. If you want to give the tweak a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for free. There are no options to configure, and the tweak can be installed on iOS 6 and later.

This is a good tweak and it comes in handy, too. I've been using it for a couple of days. The only problem I see; it won't let you select multiple photos to delete. You have to click the pic to view it, then the trash can lights up to delete. I sent the dev an email to see if they plan on adding that functionality. No response just yet. But, for free and being able to use it on single photos is still pretty darn awesome. This was needed a LONG time ago.
