The holiday sales haven't subsided yet and Apple is coming along for the ride.

On Thursday, in recognition of the holiday known as Boxing Day - traditionally the day following Christmas Day - Apple is running a special Boxing Day sale in the Canadian iTunes store.

Although Apple's efforts are focused on Canada today, Boxing Day is also celebrated in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago and some other Commonwealth nations.

The sales, however, are far from over-the-top and expansive. For now, it appears that the deals are limited to select digital downloads, including songs and albums. While it isn't clear how long the sales will persist, retailers tend to run promotions through January 1st.
