The new revamped Instapaper is here for iOS 7 and it touts a simplified app layout to fit the design aesthetic of the new iOS software update. Among the several updates to Instapaper 5.0 are article filtering by date, length, read time and popularity; a much-requested feature by many. Videos have finally been sorted into their own folder with the recent release as well. Users can access several helpful options under “Sort,” with the Search functionality requiring a small subscription of $3 per month or $12 per year.

The recent update appears to be the biggest one in quite a while for Instapaper. For those of you who have used the app in the past but haven’t touched it in a while, you might be interested in seeing how the service has matured over the years. The app now has themes including white, sepia and black, with several type choices and the app even has a curated link list called The Feature.

Much like how iOS 7 was a huge step forward in design in terms of the iOS mobile platform, Instapaper 5.0 is a big step forward for the app’s design. Under Betaworks, the future of Instapaper looks bright as it appears to be a very feature-rich app compared to its competitors. Those of you interested in downloading the new Instapaper can do so for free from the App Store.
