Apple fanboys are always crying that others are copying from apple but now iOS 5 seems to be loaded with Android, RIM and Microsoft features.

If any of these companies behave the way apple has (like suing HTC for using swipe to unlock) we should see a plethora of lawsuits soon.
Lol, what a joke...I guess I shouldn't say I wasn't expecting someone to use, "apple fanboy" in a post after seeing the notifications center but still...so lame.

Anyway, iOS 5 looks amazing, it's got some incredible stuff on it, can't wait to get it rollin' on my iPhone! Perfection yet again!

Edit: Btw, the site is looking better, keep up the great work!

i couldn't agree more. all of these "genius" features were genius-ly stolen from the jb community, as always. and apple has some real balls suing samsung and htc. do you think if apple was the first to come up with the "apple reader" to note articles, and then google came up with the "google reader" to note articles, that apple would sue the **** out of them?? and what's with apple's pricing guide for icloud? they list google music as costing $??? does apple not know how to spell FREE??? i guess it's not in their vocabulary.

another wwdc full of stolen ideas and mediocre development.
    cue fan boy salivating...now.

Hopefully a Redsn0w update will give us some of the 5.0 features on the iPhone 3G, like they did with 4.0. Simple features that can maybe run on it like iMessage, lockscreen camera, photo editing.
    Get streetwear for cheap here.

I wonder how the carriers are going to react to iMessage? Sure it may use up some of your data plan, rather than your free texts, but will your carrier try to milk you for it?? And what about encryption, seeing as BBM has been in trouble in a few places already!!
A couple of jailbreak apps may fall by the wayside, but still going to be plenty required.

Downloaded iOS 5 a few hours ago, and I've got to hand it to Apple- they've really gone all out on this update. Some of the smaller things not mentioned for us UI freaks are rounded switches (which I think is odd... I preferred the square switch buttons), more 'indented' lists in the Settings app, and black toolbars in Safari whenever Private Browsing is turned on. Great update, and really stable for a beta build as well.

I mean, Apple isn't even updating key things that Android can do!

    Android maps is better.
    Android has voice to text.
    No quickreply in iOS5.

These are things I expected to come from iOS5, but I guess not. I absolutely HATE maps on the iPhone, yet I always use maps and voice recognition is key. So what does Apple decide to do? Integrate Twitter (which many could care less for) and copy all other non-essential features.

LOL, Apple completely failed here! Oh wait, I forgot the iCloud, a service to help make people dependent on their servers. Lol, see ya later alliga... I mean, Apple!
A co-worker was just telling me today of an app he got for his new 8GB 3GS that converts speech to a text message. And no he's not the JB type so it's definitely out there in the App Store.

My wife and I already use a 3rd party messaging app to keep from using up our 200 texts per month. Both of us are on wi-fi pretty much all day long so it definitely helps keep us within the texting budget. However all the 3rd party messaging apps I've tried have their pros and cons with little quirks here and there, so a native iOS messaging app is something welcome for us as it'll be better integrated.

What worries me is all this iCloud automatic syncing and pushing of this and that all over the place between devices completely DESTROYING AT&T customers' 200MB and 2GB data plan caps. I really would like to know what the plan is there. I mean, it seems like a cool idea and all, but I may just have to opt-out of the cloud stuff completely because I cannot afford to pay ANY extra usage charges on my bill whatsoever.

Remember when the comex brought jailbreakme.com back to life last August? Apple quickly released 4.0.1 to close this hole. Now what if Apple forces you to update your phone? Bye bye jailbreak every new update.

If anyone has an open spot for me on their dev account. It would be greatly appreciated. Sorry I'm not paying though.

You really believe that the "Auto Update" feature can't be manipulated to become an "Optional Auto Update" that's a simple piece of coding!

I'd rather see Facebook integration myself, something that works better than the blasted FB app.
You know, like, except for Windows Phone 7. Also, you want Facebook Integration? Windows Phone it.

I hope it doesn't look cluttered. I've always liked how Apple has kept the UI and everything real clean without stuff being put all over the place.
