This won't work. There is code inside the jailbreak blocking the use of the jailbreak on any urls except jailbreakme.com, but maybe someone else has an idea???

Also try the modmyi link is it blocked, too?

Socks5 proxy then (not the web ones, the ones you set in the wifi settings) will most likely work

that or the dns trust me most of the time they just block the dns

also on page three i posted info on this already

Apparently, a lot of folks in our community want the thrill of doing just that. And Apple is aware of it.

Understandably, Apple isn't fond of folks like us jailbreaking iPhones and such inside of Apple retail stores. As a result, Apple has effectively blocked Jailbreakme.com from being accessed at the company's retail outlets over its available WiFi networks. Not surprisingly, Apple is anything but a big fan of jailbreakme.com, a one-stop browser-based jailbreak shop for all iOS devices that fully exploits a PDF security hole in the Mobile Safari browser. Apple, however, said this week that its fixin' to serve up a fix for this PDF exploit that will be available via a future iOS update.

Reports of Apple blocking the jailbreak site first surfaced late in the week and, in all actuality, didn't necessarily come as a big shocker to anyone, although there were scant indications that some customers could still access the site at Apple locations as of Saturday morning. Today, however, I endeavored to access the site at my nearest Apple store (I'm lucky they still let me in) and was promptly prohibited from doing just that. Looks like I won't have my own YouTube video (like everyone else does) of me jailbreaking an iPhone inside the Apple Store. And I was really hoping to show the grandchildren one day. Oh well. But at least some have the distinct honor of being among the few (and proud) who actually managed to jailbreak a floor model iDevice.

This can still be done even without using Miwi... Just turn off Wifi on the phone, and enable the ATT data in the settings. I have just confirmed this method at the local apple store. Why is everyone saying this guy has guts? It's not hard to do it just go into mobile safari and do it! I saw a video of a guy doing it with pwnagetool right in the store using one of the macs and an iPod touch connected to it

I think this is pretty stupid as well. I mean I understand the wanting to do it, but since one or two have already proven how easy it is, why keep doing it? I love my jailbroken iPhone 4, and any idevice that is, but come on...obviously apple doesn't, and while you own your own phone and have the legal right to do so, the in store phones are apple's property. You wouldn't want someone goin into your stuff and messing with it making it do something you don't want right? That, and yeah this would just tick apple off more they're against jailbreaking bad enough as it is

That would be pretty sick. You are just expressing your freedoms, which was deemed recently perfectly legal by the government. Woot!

Gee all you have to do is host the files yourself and go to your own site in the store...

There used to be a mirror at hxxp://jailbreakme.modmyi.com, I see it just redirects now to jailbreakme.com. I went to AT&T to pay my bill and no one wanted to help me, so I "played" jailbreak. It was easy.

Yeah; I did it to the store in Indianapolis... Got video of it to uploaded on YouTube.

One of the employee's came over and started talking to my wife about them right as I was doing it.

Exactly. Look at me everybody I can stick it to the man by jailbreaking! Wheeeeeee! Who cares, just enjoy your own jailbreak and leave the display devices alone.

If this becomes a problem, Apple, the multi billion dollar corporation will see to it that it is extremely more difficult to jailbreak in the future and will invest $ to make sure its so. Jailbreaking won't be impossible, but the very easy "slide to jailbreak" will be a thing of the past. Get ready for a USB only jailbreak in the future boys and girls.

Personally I like my video more. I took the time to change the carrier from ATT to Sprint and signed the banner after installing the Royal Deluxe theme on 4 iPHones.

Two thumbs up to the jailbreak community for going around and making their own fun at apple's expense. If I was as inspired, I would have loved to jailbreak an iphone while at the "apple-mart" today. I wonder how many devices they end up restoring...
