Thread: No Cell Minutes Used for iPhone FaceTime Calls

  1. #81
How long before FaceTime is reduced to being Chat Roulette for iPhone?

Nintendo's 3DS totally should have been announced with a rotatable 3D camera. Now THAT would be a curious gimmick. This is just a webcam. Meh. I probably won't even use it with my twin brother on the other side of the country even though we both have iP4. Why do I care to see his face or drop what I'm doing to keep my face in view? Why do I want the call to run my battery dead faster? I don't.

I hope FT over 3g is released sooner than later. Good luck finding a hotspot that doesn't block the ports needed to be used for it to work.
Most places only allow port 80 and maybe POP email.
There have been numerous complaints about this already. It's just not a feesable option unless you are on a wifi connection that has most ports open or a router that you can configure yourself.

I think it's a great post. I mean hell just open Skype on your phone. You can make free skype to skype calls over 3g untill Aug 10th. After that you will be charged for it... WTF!?!

Looks like I will be taking my skype app and shoving it. Not sure if anyone else thinks this is BS, and if you do I think we all need to start ******** to Skype.

It might work better if you use a boom-less behind-the-ear Bluetooth headset, like the Jabra Stone, and then submerged your face (not the headset) and talked. If you can, try to get a fish to float by while you're talking.
