Yeah, so many of the "watch this and/or that for free" apps from Cydia have left quite a sour taste in my mouth. Most have been gimmicky, and how many apps do we really need for Family Guy/South Park & The Simpsons? I wouldn't mind a solid Hulu app, but not iHulu.

Really? I thought that was looking good. Damn, I was really hoping to be able to use it. Apple should learn that allowing things like that makes their device better as a whole, even if it's not a direct component of Apple itself. What really counts is the user's ability to cater the device to their needs, which should help them, not hurt. Who cares if we don't like Safari the best? We already paid for the APPLE device, you think they'd want us to be happy with it. It's like having an XBox that can only play Microsoft games. How does that actually help them?

Hopefully it will at least end up in Cydia.

    1. You have to be jailbroken.
    2. Not a wide variety.

Netflix, is $9 for the first month, $15 after, don't let them fool you. Plus they're streaming selection is crap. Not to mention, having a streaming aspect already, to bring it to the iPhone they'd have to reconvert everything for the iPhone.

hulu has thousands of shows and movies. not three of the stupidest shows on tv.

    Heck yeah if it's real!
    Nice nails btw
Oh its real alright, its just taking time to finish. Its not one of those apps you can through together in a week. And we had a lot of false starts more so than with any project we started.

There are just so many video and audio containers and formats, testing is amazingly hard , and upnp and to a lesser extent bonjour are not the most stable libraries. And network letancy is a issue you have to get around.

Than there's the issue of seek , what good is a player if you can't rewind or forward the video. We finally had a break through on that the other day.

We are targeting mid summer, it could be done sooner if we can find someone with some good developers to helo us. We made some inquiries and that may be the case.

Ideally we would like to submit to the app approval process by the end of April.

There is a beta test app on the ffmpeg4iphone site, but without the backend server it takes a lot of work to get videos into the player to use. you have to run a script of some sort to get the urls off your server. We test a lot with eyeconnect, tversity and playon. Playon gives the best features and performance.

The actual app is fully dlna compliant, but that piece is not 100% done yet.

More recent pictures of the ui.

$10 a month a little too steep giving AT&T's reception poor quality. Video streaming have for video quality. There is a lot apps in cydia that allow you to watch tv shows. Hulu should allow you to download this video shows. That would make it a better investment
