    Default No StarPlyr, No Problem
    Some people (including myself) have been waiting for StarPlyr to come the iPhone for streaming Sirius to our phones. I got tired of waiting. Orb was ok, but slow. Tversity was ok, but required logins and was sorta clunky. here now is the best way i have found so far to get Sirius on your iPhone.

    what is needed;
    uSirius RC 8
    fStream (free from the App store)
    any ASP capable web server.

    setup uSirius on the web server. (pretty straight forward)
    create an .asp webpage in your www root directory. call it whatever you want. I.e. sirius.asp

    paste this code into the sirius.asp web page;

    <%
    response.ContentType="audio/x-mpegurl"
    Set stream = CreateObject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP.3.0")
    stream.open "GET", "http://<your local ip>:19080/streams/stream?bandwidth=low&num=" & request.querystring("C") & "&r=1234567890", false
    stream.send ""
    If stream.Status = 200 AND stream.readyState = 4 Then
    s = stream.ResponseText
    s = Mid(s, instr(s, "=")+1)
    s = Mid(s, 1, instr(s, "Ref")-3)
    s = "mms" & Mid(s, 5)
    end If
    response.write(s)
    %>

    get the r=123... value from the URL button on the uSirius GUI and edit acordingly.

    go to iPhone, open fStream and create a new station with the following info;

    http://myexternalipaddress/sirius.asp?C=1

    C=whatever the station is I.e. 1 is Hits, 100 is howard....

    now listen to Sirius on your iPhone.

    most of the credit for this goes to the uSirius author, Jason Millard. and even more thanks should be bestowed upon him now. I have recently had an email conversation with Jason and he confirmed something that makes this asp redirect even easier...
    the r= value is not even needed. i have confirmed it and modified my asp page to drop the r= value.
    it looks like this now;

    <%
    response.ContentType="audio/x-mpegurl"
    Set stream = CreateObject("MSXML2.ServerXMLHTTP.3.0")
    stream.open "GET", "http://192.168.168.10:19080/streams/stream?bandwidth=high&num=" & request.querystring("C"), false
    stream.send ""
    If stream.Status = 200 AND stream.readyState = 4 Then
    s = stream.ResponseText
    s = Mid(s, instr(s, "=")+1)
    s = Mid(s, 1, instr(s, "Ref")-3)
    s = "mms" & Mid(s, 5)
    end If
    response.write(s)
    %>
