I know it can be done as Buff has different icons, so what do you do with the mask file?

Sorry, I don't own even one theme so I can't check.

    Thanks.
here bro, this should do it,these files will trick ios you have icon mask but in fact you don't.
put in bundles and clear icon cache
    com.apple.mobileicons.framework

But even less now with Anemone. Just need 1- 180x180 icon with the name -large on end. Pretty amazing. Making it work for Winterboard is waaay more files.

I'm using Anemone, but older version (1.1-213)
You mean one blank icon? Named "xxx-large.png"

Its good yes, but a theme maker would want it to work with WB and Anemone.

WB's dead, bro. Only one major theme creator I know still supporting WB. It served us well for 6 or 7 firmwares.. Now gone the way of the do-do bird..

So you need a blank icon with "-large" at end of name in every iconbundles folder?
    Still don't get it.

He said you need only one icon, where does it go?

okay as for masking icons use all files i posted above.
as for iconbundles method, lets take cydia icon for example:
you can make an icon @224px size, name it: com.saurik.Cydia-large.png (this way it will display on every iDevice using anemone)
and put it in IconBundles folder in main folder of the theme.
but not all icons can be theme this way,you still need Bundles method to theme UI,folders and all of settings icons.(stock and tweaks)
if you need to know more just ask i think i'm pretty good at this

You're in great hands with Meth, Ian. He knows the finer points of IconBundles theming in Anemone way better than I do. .. I'll stick to code.

Coolstar recommends your main image be 224x224.. Not sure why. I think its the largest icon made for iPad. I never quite understood why he chose that size. But it was 224 not 244.

Still not getting this to work.
When you say "IconBundles folder" you mean "Bundles/com.saurik.Cydia folder"? or I have to make a folder called "IconBundles"?

Where can i read all about this?

The old way (multiple icons different sizes) works fine.

    EDIT:
I got it, so I had to create a folder called "IconBundles".
