    4S on 8.1!
Done with over 2 year old tweak idea.
Ive asked several devs to develop an OnDemand update feature for me for the myLoc.txt that would essentially take a snapshot of the GPS antenna's location at any time by a screen touch or button. But they've been too busy with other great tweaks. Would you be willing to share it with me so I can do some testing with a location widget I've been developing based in Google's API? Great idea!

    @ dacal and Ian:

    1. I'm currently using UniAW 6.4 iWidget version. I noticed the german translation doesn't work because both "ge" and "de" variables are used/mixed at the code.

    2. I noticed that the stars aren't visible when FullScreenWeather Wallpapers are enabled. I don't know if this is wanted or not but fixed it with other values for z-index.

    3. sometimes the birds animation stops. Don't know what causes this

    4. I've added a "logical date" button/function to the code and the iWidget menu. This sorts the single line date right for all users outside the US (means day/date/month/year). Could be a good idea for UniAW 7.

I absolutely know what's causing the resprings. It's the internet connection.
    Here's an example:
I'm at home, phone resprings maybe twice a day while connected to the WiFi.
Come to work, phone has resprung at least 25 times today. Why? Because the WiFi at work is absolutely horrendous.
So to test, I disconnected the WiFi at work and stayed on LTE and voila, one respring in the last 3 hours and that was because I went into an area with no reception.
If the internet connection is bad and UNIAW cannot establish the weather (on the 6+ at least), the phone resprings.

have not tryet that yet, but also know that we are trying a release candidate, but it is just so beautiful i want it to work now, this is the reason nr 1 for me to stay on the iphone

It is the same as principle as way back in the iOS 5 days, see http://modmyi.com/forums/iphone-4-4s...ml#post6515670.
The only change is that I am using newer package versions then Saurik has on his repo, look at start - iOS WebStack. Through their repo you can install the iPhone Web Server. You can turn lighttpd (web server software) off in Settings, just as you can MySQL (gets installed as well, I have MySQL server turned off!).
Now download 2 files from iphone.mmus.us/MMi/www.zip unpack and copy these 2 files (index.html and run.php) into /var/www on your phone.
Make sure you have a /var/mobiles/Documents folder with read/write permission and also check that the myLocation.txt file has read/write permission for owner, group and world.
Now open Safari and enter "127.0.0.1" as the url, after initial question if you want to allow location access to that page you should see your GPS coordinates. REFRESH that page, now it will have saved the previously shown GPS position in the myLocation.txt file. Don't ask me why it does that, but reloading that page really works. Now create a Safari Bookmark on your home screen and now you have an "On Demand" myLocation.txt GPS update.
Touch the icon and reload and myLocation.txt is updated.

btw Webclip still runs the geolocation javascript in iOS 8.1.

Thank you! I will try that. Wouldn't your Lockscreen 'tap' for the small Geolocation-based LS widget you wrote last year also work on the same principle? Can't a 'tap' button be created on a Lockscreen that would also update the myLocation.txt?

That Geolocation-based LS cydget only worked under iOS6, but not iOS 7 cos no geolocation javascript execution with cydget in iOS7.
Certainly would not work with Winterboard, don't know if GL or LockHTML3 can run geolocation javascript.
Anyway apart from that html files can NOT write to files, that's why I used the route with the iPhone web server, so I can use php script which can create/edit/delete files.
Only thing html pages can do is store info (e.g. GPS data) in cookies (short lived, gone after respring), local storage (Junes preferred place) or database, my choice of storage. Hence Webclip html, same geolocation javascript, stores GPS data in database. Any other html page (LockBackground, Widget, Cydget etc) can use that.

did another clean install today, verry funny !! and now i only have openssh, iwidget, homescreendesigner, widgetweather ( i am a betatester ) ifile, classicdock, and cccontrols installed, so far it looks good. I think the it must be a tweek that works on springboard that starts the resprings, so now i wil se over the next days what starts the resprings, i am going to go slow ahead ( i hate that ), wil try to get some update data if i find some

edit 1 winterboard installed, after install phone in safe mode, respring, then no problems for 1 hour.....

it is just renaming icons, and maybe a resize here and there.
