    LOVE the widget Marty!!! In my area no Neighborhood.. but that's because I'm a small town in PA.. Neighborhoods for Yahoo and for Google only really show for medium to large cities. If I put in any number of several Philadelphia coordinates I've used in my testing.. I get Town, Neighborhood and County. Be interested to see what Ian gets in the Philippines.

    Are there any limitations per day on how many calls to this newer Yahoo API, Marty?

    Hey Marty. I tried copying your yahoo code from your TimeCicuits widget to one of my widgets but the screen stays black. Strange. Also I am using the code in a uniaw 7 widget not 7.1. Maybe that's the reason. Also which one is better to use Google or Yahoo. Thanks again.

    For what it's worth, gang... If this "newer" (I think it is newer, don't know for sure) Yahoo Feed that Marty found is stable and looks like it will be around for quite a while.. I'm totally for using IT over Google going forward, either written into our widgets or as the location replacement call in WidgetWeather2 as well if King can get it added.

    Yahoo has 'less variables' than Google for location data and it's such a well known API feed in terms of its structure too.

    So - though I have found Google very competent for my needs and it worked pretty well today for us - and though I've tested it extensively in US, Canada and England - Yahoo may be still be a simpler solution.

    I have zero agenda here. Truly. I know Google gives us MORE data than is available in Yahoo. But the main question of course is, FOR WEATHER WIDGETS - how much MORE location data do we really need. Right? City, State, County, neighborhood, Street address??? Wow - that's a lot already from Yahoo.

    My only remaining concern is... Yahoo has always been a pain in terms of stability. What makes us believe that this new one Marty found is any more stable?

    Just throwin' it out there...

    That's what we're trying to determine, Signori. Need some more input from the widget code masters like Ian and Marty and ultimately King_O_Hill too as he will need to build a new location finder into WidgetWeather where it can all be AUTOMATIC again - in our xml files.

    Though I personally love Google and find it to have way more data, I'm not positive Google is the answer for the whole community - IF, and ONLY IF, there's a stable up to date Yahoo Feed.

    In the absence of Yahoo stability - my opinion is Google is the way. Never gone down once in the last 2 years.

    A huge thanks to Marty for finding another feed , hope this one gives you all neighborhood (it works for me now). You can choose city or neighborhood in the Config file (or Widget options) but don't select "default".
    For the address, I just made it the first line, if you want more than that just ask here & I or somebody will help you out.

    So here is the new instructions for getting your city name back to normal in UniAW7.1

    In main.js add this to top of dealWithWeather function:
    Code:
    	// Use alternative for City Name only if the API WW2 uses is down
    	if (iOS == false) { var url2 = "test_files/myLocation" + ".txt"; } else { var url2 = "file:///private/var/mobile/Documents/myLocation" + ".txt"; }

    	if (obj.city == "TBD") {
    		document.getElementById("city").style.display = 'none';
    		document.getElementById("address").style.display = 'none';

    		jQuery.get(url2, function(appdata){
    			var substr = appdata.split('\n');
    			var templatitude=substr[0].split('=');
    			var templongitude=substr[1].split('=');
    			var latitude = $.trim(templatitude[1]);
    			var longitude = $.trim(templongitude[1]);
    			obj.coords = latitude + "," + longitude;

    			var Gurl = "http://gws2.maps.yahoo.com/findlocation?pf=1&locale=en_US&offset=15&flags=&q=" + obj.coords + "&gflags=R&start=0&count=100";

    			jQuery.get(Gurl, function(data) {
    				$(data).find('Result').each( function() {
    					obj.Yaddress = $(this).find('line1').text();
    					obj.Ycity = $(this).find('city').text();
    					obj.Yneigh = $(this).find('neighborhood').text();

    					// CORRECT YOUR YCITY NAME HERE!
        				if ((obj.Yneigh == "Tawid") || (obj.Yneigh == "Cabulihan") || (obj.Yneigh == "Libagon") || (obj.Yneigh == "Panan-Awan")) {
    						obj.Yneigh = "Guadalupe";
    					}

    				switch (UseExtraLocation) {
    					case "city":
    					document.getElementById("Ycity").innerHTML = obj.Ycity;
    					break;
    					case "neighborhood":
    					if (obj.Yneigh != "") {
    						document.getElementById("Ycity").innerHTML = obj.Yneigh;
    					} else {
    						document.getElementById("Ycity").innerHTML = obj.Ycity;
    						}
    					break;
    				}

    				if (ShowAddress == true) {
    					document.getElementById("Yaddress").innerHTML = obj.Yaddress;
    				}

    				});
    			});
    		});
    	}

    In style.css, duplicate #city AND #address, re-name the duplicates to #Ycity AND #Yaddress (case sensitive).
    When I say ""duplicate #city" I mean the complete group of settings for #city, e.g all this:
    Code:
    #city {
    	position: absolute;
    	top: 3.65%;
    	left: 0%;
    	width: 100%;
    	height: 4%;
    	font-size: 4.3vw;
    	text-align: center;
    	text-shadow: black -1px 1px 1px, black -2px 2px 3px;
    	z-index: 50;
    }
    In ALL html files add these div's inside the WeatherContainer div: <div id="Ycity"></div> AND <div id="Yaddress"></div>

    This uses the coordinates from the "MyLocation.txt file so you WILL need to activate the "MyLocation" option in WW2 settings page, I tried it using the coordinates from the xml file but because they only have 2 digits after the decimal point it's not so accurate, I would like to ask KOH if he can change this so the .xml file shows 6 digits after the decimal point for our coordinates, thanks Brian.

    If Yahoo API starts working again this code will not run, it will automatically revert to the "normal" way.

    I will give it a week or so before I update UniAW7.1 in 1st post, lets see what pans out first.

    EDIT:
    Same issue Marty had, the browser is messing with the pasted code, please be sure the line under this line: jQuery.get(url2, function(appdata){ looks like this: (check for missing apostrophe, closing bracket & semi-colon at the end of it).
    var substr = appdata.split('\n');
