I may be wrong but I believe that Forecast may not be compatible with WW2...

Forecast is a known INCOMPATIBLE tweak with WidgetWeather2. I'm pretty sure it warns you of that on Cydia too. That's most likely your culprit. Uninstall it and try.

I did originally by asking him to turn all off except the few necessary to test. But he didn't want to do that test. But I DO keep forgetting to ask about Forecast. At one time King was gonna have Forecast auto uninstall upon installing WW.. I guess he decided not to..

    I'm pretty sure that's Sabbagh's issue..

So what Plat is saying I can just shut off convergence and GL+. Download LockHTML4 and get a theme for the LS. And then still be able to run GB+ just fine with my current theme??

    Does that sound accurate Plat?

Besides Forecast issue for him, your turning off substrates method worked perfectly for me. Helped me find problem with preference loader. Re-installed and no more problems.

Yep. That's always been possible.. You can run the LS widget in Convergence alone too. But you'll need to make sure it doesn't have any animation. Or the resprings will come back.

Ok that clears it up Grant......

    Thank you.

GL+/GB+ were the fix for the resprings but sometimes the white screens occur.

    I forgot about the Resprings.

Yeah.. Glad to hear it. That's a pretty fool proof method of discovering bad tweaks.. And has virtually no danger of harming your jailbreak. Didn't understand why Sabbagh would worry about that.. But...

Thank for your reply. It is obviuos that ww2 will not install unless Forecast tweak was removed first. WW2 will automatically un-install Forecast upon installing. I was wondering if I can remove the remaining traces of all un-installed tweaks and where to find them. I couldn't find Forecast by searching the file system, so there must be other ways to find them. Does anyone know how?
    iCleaner does not work.

Hey NewD, could you please explain your substrates method in details. Thanks.

you should use icleaner pro,it's free too,it clears unused dependecies and you can manually delete preference files that deleted tweaks left behind

    Sure.. Here it is:
    ---------------------
Install iCleanerPro from the 'exile90software.com/cydia/' repo.. Open app - bottom left hand corner clik on '+' sign.. Then clik on Cydia Subtrates. In the next window - turn off every switch except,

    GroovyLock(+)
    GroovyBoard(+)/SBHTML
    GroovyAPI(+)
    IconSupport (if you have it)
Homescreen Designer (if you have it)
    Iconoclasm (if you have it)
    Winterboard
    iCleanerLib
    MobileSafety
    WidgetWeather2

    Respring..

your phone will look a little lifeless without all the rest of your tweaks active.. But then reboot your phone and see if the updatetimestring field is filled in now in your widgetweather.xml and if your widget starts to work. If IT WORKS - then one of the tweaks that you just disabled is the cause of your troubles. Then the hard task begins - of turning each switch back on, one by one, and rebooting until the widget stops working again. When that happens - THAT'S your conflict tweak - the one you just turned back on. You'll need to get rid of it..

IF, however - after you've turned off all those switches - the widget still isn't working - then there's a corruption somewhere.. and only a re-jailbreak will likely help.
    ------------------------------

    Good luck!

Have you checked the config.js file inside your WW2 theme and see if Celsius is set to false?

That setting in UniAW7 and 7.1's config.js file only affects the readout when in GPS or locale mode, not in widgetweather mode. In widgetweather mode Celsius or Fahrenheit is taken directly from the xml file based on the switch position you set in WW2 itself's settings pane.

Thank you for your efforts in helping. Unfortunately, substrates method did not work. I will wait for the new jailbreak to restore and re-jailbreak. Thanks again to all who tried to help.
