    Superb explanation about the "% method", Ian. We also need to know about vw and vh eventually and how to know when we need to vw/vh and when to use % to accomplish auto positioning.

    Also - the reason I got less resprings without GL+ when compared to OrangeFreddie is simple to diagnose. OF has a 6+ and I have a 6. The 6+ guys always got way more resprings with running high animation in UIWebView HTML players. Even with all other tweaks turned off in iCleaner Pro, a 6+ has a way heavier CPU/RAM drain running its version of the iOS 8 firmware (more features) due to that massive screen.. .

    Now I haven't actually read Krima's report.. He's a 6+ user too.. and should be experiencing close to what Freddie is.. But we all use our phones differently too and have a different tweak compliment. I went 90 minutes without a respring on my 6 (first version of 7.1 you uploaded with translate 3D).. But Simon on his 6 had a Respring with it in the first 20 minutes he mentioned on GCF.

    I don't think there's any escaping the "new reality" that UIWebView was never meant to run anything like UniAW7's level of animation - at least not after the features got fatter starting in IOS 7. Remember the crash modes with Password lock on in iOS 7 with high animation? That, in my opinion, was the beginning of the end for UIWebView based HTML players. WKWebView is the future.. And sadly we're stuck with an incomplete workaround tweak in GL+.. But at least we get zero resprings with it.

    hey Ian,
    i have not installed updated version, using the version u had yesterday with convergance only on my 6+, only had 2 random resprings with it upon waking the phone, and repsrings every time i tried to activate the animations toggle, other than that was good all night (that i know of) oh and my forecast looks good
    loving the config.js file too! lol
    now on to dl new version

    I noticed that none of the weather conditions actually use the "rain" animation, if any of you see a weather condition of "Rain" on your screen please at that time save your .xml file, zip it up & post it here for me so I can find out what the code is. Thanks.
    If nothing uses rain I be as well removing it. Everything uses the "showers" animations.

    I really don't know when to choose vw/vh, I just used it in the parts that were not working with %, I'de say if it works with % use that, if not use vw/vh.

    Have you tried latest version (without translate3d), if so, do balloons. clouds still look smooth? Any less re-springs? Thanks.

    I was thinking of making a "Super-Lite" switch in the Config file, I would program this with the very minimal animations, but at least 6+ users would have something, but if they are all using Groovy+ (apart from Krima) there isn't much point.

    Did anybody notice my record breaking variable name in the Config.js?

    var WindArrow_Shows_Direction_Wind_Is_Blowing = true;

    Pity it doesn't fit in iWidgets options screen LOL.. How to shorten this? My English isn't that good, I'm fae Scotland ye ken.

    Hey - small bug. With Animations only set to true.. An outline of the clock and the logo remain on screen when running on SBHTML (and GB+)

    No, you misunderstand what this does:
    var WindArrow_Shows_Direction_Wind_Is_Blowing = true;
    Means the wind arrow will point in the direction the wind is blowing. i.e coming from east, blowing to west, arrow points to west.

    Ian,
    1) balloons and clouds seem very smooth without the 3d code. So all good there from my eye.
    2) Respringing on newest version happened on my 6 within 5 minutes. Back to GL+
    3) Please keep rain/shower animation separate. Lots of distinction between two in my area.

    I knew exactly what is does, bro.. .. On startup of widget it "spins" to its new direction- looking "animated".. Hence by suggestion..

    Ian, my #4 observation, two posts ago, was my fault - in something I'd changed incorrectly in the style.css that created the dual fade in action. All good on that front.

    Ian, don't know if it makes a difference but, is your i5 on iOS8 or iOS7...even with the updated link and the noAnimationsOnStartup switch set to true my balloons are stuck on the screen wherever they are when I wake the phone up...

    Balloons are stuck in both the LS (GL) and the SB (SBHTML)....everything else works....

    I'm on iOS7...

    Edit...actually I just noticed the clouds not moving either......

    okay… Cool. I never noticed the animation on the arrow prior to 7.1. My oversight I'm sure. And thanks for the other fix!

    Anybody know why this happens? I'm using LockHTML 4. Other LS's that use the whole screen work and it does it if I use auto or iPh6 in screen size area of Config file-imageuploadedbymodmyi1425047559.838442.jpg

    only my medium size balloons with a happy face on them are stuck in the middle. All other balloons and clouds work for me on iPhone 6, iOS 8, GL+. Kris, my guess is you have some other tweak conflicting with the animations. Try turning off all your other tweaks except WB, GL, groovyAPI, IconSupport, and mobile safety. See if the animations start to work then. That will prove that it's a tweak conflict or not.
