The funny thing is, I only write and draw (can't in PS) with my left hand. This has unthought consequences, like I was teased for wearing my watch on the wrong side (something to do with writing I think)... I had shoulder surgery a few years back because I dislocated it close to 100 odd times. It's my stronger side, so I'd always land on it. The baseball pitching for years as a kid didn't help lol.

Just to add to this. What size are you working at there? It seems that all your shapes are vector, so the "@2x" method may work well in your case. The reasoning behind this method I learnt from dansaDisco, was well explained to me, and I came to realise (over a few hundred icons) that these basic principles were applied for a reason. I studied every element of each style, and worked the "why's". He was generous to give me many personal PSDs, and there's so much to be learnt from looking into different elements. The way he bridges Illustrator & PhotoShop is interesting, and 90% of my icons use this combination.

Have you unlocked the smart object "template" layer, as there's some vector shapes in there that may be of use. I'll update it with my personal copy soon. I just wanted to get the theme up and running, as it's based on the stock iOS7 icon mask, and has vector "frames" in 1px increments almost all the way to the centre. I just wanted to have my fun with it first, before it got taken advantage of outside the thread

Any questions bro, you can PM or ask here. I really like your style and method as it is You can adapt the vector shapes to your method by simply resizing the "Borders" layer (contained in the smart object), to the size you work at.

    Cheers mate

I'm gonna ask here, what I have to ask. ( which is some kind of help).
I'd like to make use of few lock screens, no animation or something like that, and I see few options around like Groovy Lock, Lockhtml or the one from Saurik( cydget?)...anyway..I've seen lots around here lately going with Groovy one( even schnedi is doing so), it might be a reason since he is one of the few that has talent for those kind of things; so anyone, knows the difference between them, which one is ...different than the other? Anyhow, who can help, to get some simple explanations to all this, will get an Thank You from me.

Sorry to be a bit off topic, but I feel that the warm hearts of this thread will understand me.

It's still a little hard to tell. It's not quite as clear as Beta Vs VHS (showing my age lol), and depends on each user and what they want out of it.

Personally I'd be looking between Lock HTML and Cydget. Cydget offers Cycript (script), which allows for some really nice options. LockHTML is a fair bit easier to use, and is more directed towards the average user. I don't personally run any of LS at the moment, but I've used Cydget before, as it offers a fair bit of freedom, but does have some minor drawbacks. LockHTML has been used by many, and has mostly great reviews. Perhaps someone else may offer their experience with their LS and help narrow it down for you. I personally have a soft spot for Cydget, as I know Jay can be methodical with his code. Sorry I couldn't help any further. Here's a Reddit discussion about the topic, and as you can see Saurik offers his views. Thank you.

Hi all My apologies for not being as active lately. I've run out of data allowance for the month, and I can't really post any screens or previews. I'm still working a lot on both the icons and UI. I think I've gotten all the icon requests up to date, so if you'd like something not already requested, ask away and I'll likely be able to add it to the next update. The UI consists of StatusBar Images, Control Centre, LockScreen (including battery charging mask), Progress Animations, and a little more. All up I'm at about 150 images. It'll be released on Cydia free of charge for iPhone 4/5, and iPad Retina, as soon as I can get my net up and running again. Probably sooner rather than later, as there's some images I can't wait to show you, and of course the random "behind the scenes" look into the inner workings of a "simple" glyph. Thank you for your patience

Is it easy to port icons from this to to "4 You 2[iOS7]" Asking because I have a hefty set of icon requests lol. I like them both

I like them, they've got that clean touch which matches 3 4 You, so does their colour scheme. Thanks, man (<- ?).

It is fairly easy for most icons. There are 100's of icons done for the iOS6 version of "4 You 2", and my plan is to eventually port them all to the iOS7 version. I use a different glyph style in the other set, which I tried to make work with 34All, but it looks a little out of place (Shazam Icon).
Post say 10-12 icon requests in the other thread, and I'll get as many done as possible. No need for bundle ID's just yet, as I may already have them. I'll let you know if I run into any issues. Thank you.

Very proud of the setup. The LS is from Schnedi( groovylock) which I really love it.

Edit: right next to FaceTime icon, is the " Paper ( Facebook) " icon which I'm still working on.

Damn bro!! That's a really nice minimal setup. I love the smooth transition between the simplicity of that LS, and the springboard.....and that icon!! Really appreciate you sharing your talents with us. You goin to make me step up my game with clean icons like that. Thank you.

    Default 3 4 All [UI]
    Hi again

It's 4 am here, but before I turn off the PC, I just wanted to show a quick teaser of the UI. Progress is coming along well, and the basic elements will be available by this weekend. I've only got a small of icons done for the main packages, but I'll finish a few more up and get some missing bundle ID's and submit maybe on the weekend. Below is the clock icon glyph used throughout the UI. It even scaled down to the status bar (vector always surprises me). The shapes are a complicated procedure done in illustrator, and a set of guidelines has been followed to achieve consistency throughout the accompanying glyphs. Although this doesn't really show the UI, it's more of a look into the style, and work that's gone into the UI so far. Thank you

    Cheers for the feedback

Here's me today with a couple of new icons and some of the UI. The UI is minimal, but thought has been put towards the design process. I will expanding on it as time permits, but I want to make a settings icon set, so it's ready for when Jato can compile it easily enough. Got a few new packages submitted, so they should be live in the next couple of days. Thank you.

Here's look at yet another thought process of the progress animations. I face a few dilemma's when rotating these types of shapes. They're 3 vector "lines". When you rotate that shape, it slightly changes it's width and height. So when you rotate that copy, you're rotating an object with a slightly different centre point each time. Now multiply that discrepancy a few more times, and you end up with your final animation step being somewhat different than first image you want to transition into.

To get around this, I had to do a fair bit of work in AI. 36 lines, made and rotated with a circle, and then I apply a stroke to the lines and then expand that stroke into a vector shape. This gives me 12 steps of animation with 3 shapes per layer, with 36 shapes in total (the screen below shows them all selected. If that confuses you....don't worry, as it confused me....and if that makes no sense, then look at the seemingly jumbled mess of shapes below lol. *English Translation*: Pretty smooth animations

It is....that's why I posted the google translated version at the end. That's only scratching the surface too, as I need a calculator it gets that full on. There's number of steps, and rotation distance which is determined by my shapes basically.

And cheers bro, not all have an idea exactly what goes into it, so I post a little behind the scenes just to remind us that although it's free, care is still taken
